I saw this Magnolia Wreath in a recent Crate and Barrel catalog, and fell in love. But for $129? So what the heck, I decided to make one myself. And with Michael’s having a 50% off sale, I was able to create one for just $35.
This wreath was incredibly easy, and no glue gun was necessary. Start off with a plain grapevine wreath:
I wanted to add a little color in with this one, so these little red sprigs did the trick. I snipped them off of the bunch and stuffed each piece in random places around the wreath.
Then, I clipped off the magnolia buds and nestled them within the branches one-by-one.
The magnolia stalks came with additional sticks and buds, so I added those for interest and depth, as well.
And that’s it! The wreath took me a total of 15 minutes. Magnolia trees bloom right at the beginning of spring, so I thought that this would be the perfect spring wreath for our front door.

Just goes to show that you can make something just as beautiful as you’d find it in a magazine.
Hope you like it, as well!
